    Alyon Management delivered turnkey venue management for City Challenge, a Manchester City Football Club-branded interactive entertainment venue at Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi. The engagement covered pre-opening setup, launch, and ongoing operations.

    Scope of engagement

    • Pre-opening operational build-out, including team recruitment, training, systems setup, supplier onboarding, and compliance.
    • Launch delivery, including soft launch, full opening, and the first months of live operation.
    • Ongoing operations, including front-of-house, guest services, attraction operation, safety, commercial activity, and day-to-day venue management.
    • Brand stewardship, operating the venue to the standards required by a globally recognized sports intellectual property partner.

    Adjacent-space attraction build-out

    Within the same engagement, the team was asked to take on an adjacent, undeveloped area of the venue. The owner sought a recommendation on how best to use the space to drive footfall and extend the commercial footprint of the venue.

    Alyon Management delivered the work end-to-end. The team developed a bespoke attraction concept tailored to the venue's audience and commercial context, led the design and attraction sourcing, project-managed the build, and integrated the new space into ongoing operations on completion. The outcome was a new revenue-generating area delivered within the existing venue envelope, operating as a seamless part of the guest experience from opening onward.

    The work drew on each of the disciplines Alyon Management brings together in one team: concept design, attraction sourcing, project management, and live venue operation.

    The scope in context

    City Challenge combined several of the more demanding elements of venue management: delivering an intellectual property-led concept, meeting the standards of a global sports brand, opening at scale within a flagship mall, running the venue to a consistent operating standard from day one, and, in the adjacent-space build-out, developing and delivering a new attraction in parallel with running the base operation. The team delivered the full scope.
